Narrative: In my music video bewildered, the man will finally wake up from a horrible night out, and roll towards his alarm that is shrieking at him. due to the scenes of what happened last night He is in a absolute horrendous mental state and is very upset and borderline suicidal. As the music video starts there will be an alarm signifying that he has just woken up he then goes to do his morning routine and he starts to go insane as he cannot handle what he is going through and is left questioning why he is even here and what he should be doing instead. The man has been confused on what he is meant to do to fix what happened and how the person had hurt them so badly and he knows that the other person is also hurting very badly inside.


Media language: For the camerawork there will be a couple of shots which will have clear meaning in them about how the person is feeling. For example in one of the shots there will be a close up on them whilst they are washing their face. This will show the exaggeration of his sadness and how he is in a loop in which he is constantly getting hurt by this person. He will be thinking about his life decisions and how he ended up here.


Mise-en-scene: In the music video, the person will be wearing a hoodie which will connote to the audience that the person is in a stage of their life where they have a very low self esteem. This helps the audience to paint a picture of someone going through something major and isn't able to be as social as he used to be since he is sad all the time now due to his break up. He has lost all motivation to do anything.


Target audience: The target audience for this music video will be people above the age of 14 as the majority of people above that age could relate to the music video in some shape or form. These people will most likely have gone to some sort of education and have had friendships or relationships been destroyed which could have made them sad also just like the person we see in the music video.


Audience pleasure will also be present throughout the show such as:

  • Being able to relate to the person

  • Personal identity as they can see themselves in the person's situation

  • It can make them think about their own lives and how they are feeling

  • It could help them feel less isolated as on social media you don't see many people posting themselves in their day to day life as not every day is a happy day

Language: We can easily tell that it is a television poster it has all the main characters at the centre of the attention. Preliminary exercise: Narrative music video Initial tasks: planning

Statement of intent I plan to create a music video for the song is radioactive by imagine dragons. the story is about somebody flashbacking to when they were being beaten up then cutting back to them working out and training  then we see the same person that beat up the main character this time the protagonist  knocks them out and finally  gets his revenge. In the first 15 seconds the man will be thinking deeply and in disappointment  about how he didn't  stand up for himself. the regret of him not being brave enough leads him to be working out as his goal to show that person that he is capable enough. Once he is strong enough he will challenge the person again this time he will have more confidence than last time as he is more physically fit and learnt better tactics. Treatment: slow turn to the people fighting, quick cuts thought Scene 1 : The camera man pans towards the two people fighting and then the main protagonist get knocked out by an upper cut.
