Advertising assessment learner response: blog tasks

 WWW- You start well in your answers, but now need to add the depth and detail to reach the higher levels. I appreciate that you didn't have the time to prepare for this assessment and that won't have helped.

Representation is a weakness (Q3) . Look at the example answers min the mark schem for this question

3) Look specifically at question 2 - the OMO 12-mark question. Pick out three points from the mark scheme that you didn't include in your answer. 

3.1 adverts would be taken at face value in the 1950s and believed to be true.

3.2 language and imagery evolve and change over time to reflect current usage and new trends

3.3 many women worked in full-time paid employment during the war years and immediately afterwards. As men replaced women in these jobs, advertising reconciled women to losing their jobs and transferring to unpaid domestic work

 

4) Now look at question 3 - on the NHS Represent advert. Use the mark scheme to identify one way the advert subverts stereotypes of race/ethnicity and one way it might reinforce stereotypes of race/ethnicity. Try and write points you didn't include in your original answer if you can. 

In the nhs represent advert the stereotypes are that people from black & asian backgrounds dont dontate enough blood.
