Denotation: The advert shows a child whom Looks Serious. The advert is preaching To dig toilets and not graves.


Connotations: The image Suggests that the boy is in a state of poverty and and he wants people to dig up toilets and make then clean so that less people die because the toilets are cleaner and the waste gets separate.


Analysis: The advert is communicating that we are living in a way better situation than the boy in the picture an that we should help them have a better life by donating to them for better and cleaner water. The Advert is emphasising that there are real issues in developing countries and that the rest of us are in a position were we can be apart of the solution and not the problem by donating.

Connotations: The connotations of the image suggests that the person is in a developing country.This is because the area looks pretty barren.


Analysis: The Person is In a Developing country. This is Shown by how barren the area is. The person is ecstatic this could be because someone has donating money and they finally have some clean water. This emphasises the importance of having clean water and also shows us how much just having clean water can have an impact on people in developing countries.
