Media Key Concepts: Blog Task

Language: We can easily tell that it is a television poster it has all the main characters at the centre of the attention. We can identify that its tagline or name is friends which possibly could communicate to us that the people in the picture may be  friends, However its not telling us the whole story so it leaves us with suspense wanting to figure out what it is about and who everyone is.

Industries: Friends is an American television sitcom created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman. the Show is produced by warner bros. television, All ten seasons of Friends ranked within the top ten of the final tv show  ratings making the show a very profitable success, The Series Final aired on May 6, 2004, and was watched by around 52.5 million American viewers, making it the fifth most-watched series finale in television history, and the most-watched television episode of the early 2000s.

Audience: We can clearly identify that this show is directed to people in their 20's since it has a type of vibe that would make it very  relatable to people who are in that age group as they might have similar issues as what happens in the story. This would make people in that age group be more likely to watch this show over something else e.g. Seinfeld.

Representation: As I stated before people in their 20's are the target demographic hence wise why  the show had a great impact on people as they would remember the show as a part of their life. Back when the show was airing people used to go to their friend's houses and watch the show together as it was the early 2000's and people did not yet have technology that could let us stream the show  and other things that people in our day do. Since the show was very popular amongst people in their 20's they would have probably used quotes from the show in their daily lives. This shows to what extent the target demographic was influenced by the show.
