Blog Feedback and Learner Response

WWW: Having joined us a little late and then missing two weeks due to Covid I think you’ve done a good job trying to catch up. You’re not missing too much and of the work you have posted, I like your denotation and connotation work. If we can further develop these connotation and analysis skills then I’m confident you will do very well in GCSE Media .   EBI: Firstly, you need to post the final two pieces you are missing:  https://www.blogger.com/blog/post/edit/5444467252521228747/3217634618356995847 https://www.blogger.com/blog/post/edit/5444467252521228747/461515219059468558 I appreciate that you may have these pieces of work in Word or Google Docs because of all the issues with blogs being blocked or locked so hopefully it will be easy to get this sorted. In terms of how to improve the work you have posted, you need to make sure your written analysis has enough depth and detail for GCSE standard. Stranger things Miss-en-scene

Costumes:  In the first scene there is a man with a doctor's outfit in an elevator. His outfit which looks very messy is paired with a dark blue and brown colour tie.there are pens in his top pocket he also something blue clipped onto the collar of his blazer. This description suggests that the man is in a hurry since he is in a very scruffy blazer  and he is also sweating prefuseriously. When we are introduced to the children in stranger things they each have unique styles of clothes that they like to wear. One of them is wearing a blue, red and white hat and he is also wearing a white t-shirt with graffiti type writing. This could indicate that he is into skateboarding since generally people that skateboard wear clothes like that. Lighting: As soon as the trailer starts, we can see a man is running for his life whilst the lights in the hallway are flickering rapidly like a cheetah. I believe that this could indicate or suggest that something has gone wrong and everyone...

Connotations: The image Suggests that the boy is in a state of poverty and and he wants people to dig up toilets and make then clean so that less people die because the toilets are cleaner and the waste gets separate. Analysis: The advert is communicating that we are living in a way better situation than the boy in the picture an that we should help them have a better life by donating to them for better and cleaner water. The Advert is emphasising that there are real issues in developing countries and that the rest of us are in a position were we can be apart of the solution and not the problem by donating. Denotation: There is a person that is smiling because they are pouring clean water in to a glass Denotation: There is a person that is smiling because they are pouring clean water in to a glass Connotations: The connotations of the image suggests that the person is ...
